With the objective of the farmers’ welfare in mind, an Awareness cum Enrolment program was held for the farmers of Megha Food Cooperative Society to help them sign up for various social programs provided. The North Garo Hills CSCs and the District Labour Office were the key partners for the program’s execution. Enrollment in the various programs will entail several benefits such as Education benefits for the children of the cluster farmers, welfare pension for the farmers, family pension, disability pension, medical assistance, marriage assistance to the unmarried male and female farmers, other skill-building training, enrolment under various schemes such as MHIS/PMJJBY/PMSBY/PMSYM, maternity benefit to female beneficiaries, construction of houses under the PMAY scheme, etc.
